William Hosea leads the Hosea Family Association, Inc. as its President, drawing upon a lifetime of leadership and dedicated service.
His career began in June 1975 when, just one week after graduating high school in Gary, Indiana, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. Over a distinguished 30-year career, William advanced from an infantryman to a tactical air controller in the aviation field. His cumulative expertise was formally recognized with certifications from the Department of Defense as a Master Training Specialist, Facilitator, and Counselor.
Upon retiring from the military, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Workforce Education Development from Southern Illinois University. He continued his commitment to service in Bloomington, Indiana, where he became a prominent community leader. He held several key leadership positions, including President of the Monroe County Black Democratic Caucus, Vice President of the local NAACP chapter, and Chair of the Board of Commissioners for the Bloomington Housing Authority. He also served as Campaign Manager for a successful political race and held memberships on various other boards and commissions.
Today, Mr. Hosea channels this wealth of experience and passion into guiding the Hosea Family Association, working and helping to ensure its strength and unity for generations to come.
