Arlene Ilene Hosea

Arlene was born and raised in Bloomington, IL. She is the ninth child of ten born to Lawrence and Josephine (Mazique) Hosea. She is also the granddaughter of Mathew D. Hosea who migrated to Illinois at a young age from Tuscaloosa, AL. After she finished District 87 schools, she received a BS and MS in Family and Consumer Sciences at Illinois State University.

Arlene began her career in nutrition and dietary services in the healthcare industry before she transitioned to university food service and then spent the remainder of her career at Illinois State University retiring in 2015 after 25 years of service as the Director of Campus Dining Services.

Arlene is very involved in community service and her sorority, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.- Beta Iota Zeta Chapter.
